This standard covers the requirements for all types of coated macadam to be laid for roads and other paved areas. It specifies the constituent materials for macadam and provides recipe and design mixtures for achieving the required compositions. The binder contents of the different types of mixtures used in coated macadam are listed in tables throughout the standard. These tables are used by purchasers to order the different types of mixtures from suppliers or specifiers.<\/p>\n
