{"id":216459,"date":"2024-10-19T14:02:25","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T14:02:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-1009-42020\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T07:06:08","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T07:06:08","slug":"bs-en-1009-42020","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-1009-42020\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 1009-4:2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This document, to be used together with <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;1009?1:2020<\/span><\/span>, specifies the safety requirements and their verification for the design and construction of screening machinery for the mechanical processing in quarrying, recycling and processing mineral and by-products as defined in <span class=\"xref\">3.1<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it specifies the type of information on safe working practices (including residual risks) to be provided by the manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>When requirements of this document are different from those which are stated in <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;1009?1:2020<\/span><\/span>, the requirements of this document take precedence over the requirements of <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;1009?1:2020<\/span><\/span> for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this document.<\/p>\n<p>This document, together with <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;1009?1:2020<\/span><\/span>, deals with all the significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to screening machinery when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer (see <span class=\"xref\">Annex&nbsp;C<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>This document does not cover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>design relating to road traffic regulations;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>hazards arising from the use of the machines in potentially explosive atmospheres as well as from processing of explosive materials and risks related to electromagnetic compatibility;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>specific hazards related to mobile machinery.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;1\n <\/div>\n<p><span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;ISO&nbsp;13766-1<\/span><\/span> and <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;ISO&nbsp;13766-2<\/span><\/span> specify test methods and acceptance criteria for evaluating the electromagnetic compatibility of all kinds of mobile construction machinery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;2\n <\/div>\n<p><span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">prEN&nbsp;1009-6<\/span><\/span> \u201cSpecific requirements for mobile and semi mobile equipment\u201d is under preparation to cover specific requirements (e.g. mobility, braking, access, frequent transportation), including exceptions and additional requirements for mobile and semi mobile equipment.
