These standards will be necessary for the<br \/>\nqualification of the connectors, standards for which are now being<br \/>\nprepared by P-5.3.1. The only practical means for obtaining these<br \/>\nstandards is by constructing them with precision coaxial<br \/>\nconnectors. This opens the door for more precise instrumentation<br \/>\nand for certification by the National Institute of Standards and<br \/>\nTechnology. Precisely calibrated adaptors shall therefore permit<br \/>\nconclusive qualification and testing of the field connectors to be<br \/>\nspecified in forthcoming P-5.3.1 standards documents.
