This Part of BS 3056 specifies the sizes of the following shapes of refractory bricks used in the construction of ladles for the steel industry, excluding torpedo ladles:

  1. squares;
  2. splits;
  3. tile;
  4. straights;
  5. side arch bricks;
  6. end arch bricks;
  7. circle bricks;
  8. semi universal ladle bricks.

NOTE 1 The tolerances on the sizes are not specified in this Part, and may be the subject of agreement between manufacturer and purchaser.
