This part of IEC 61756 covers general information on fibre management system (FMS) interfaces. It includes the definitions and rules under which an FMS interface is created. This standard allows both single-mode and multimode fibre to be used and covers all IEC standard optical fibre cables with their various fibre capacities, types and designs.
