{"id":229527,"date":"2024-10-19T14:55:54","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T14:55:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-60335-2-132010a12019\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T09:05:33","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T09:05:33","slug":"bs-en-60335-2-132010a12019","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-60335-2-132010a12019\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 60335-2-13:2010+A1:2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This clause of Part 1 is replaced by the following.<\/p>\n<p>This European Standard deals with the safety of electric deep fat fryers having a recommended maximum quantity of oil not exceeding 5 l, frying pans, woks and other appliances in which oil is used for cooking, and intended for household use and similar use, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V.<\/p>\n<p>Appliances intended to be used by laymen in shops and other premises for normal housekeeping purposes, are within the scope of this European Standard.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE Z101 Examples of appliance for household environment are appliances for typical housekeeping functions used in the household environment that may also be used by non-expert users for typical housekeeping functions:<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>in shops and other similar working environments;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>in farm houses;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>in bed and breakfast type environments.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE Z102 Household environments include the dwelling and its associated buildings, the garden, etc.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As far as is practicable, this European Standard deals with the common hazards presented by appliances that are encountered by all persons in household and similar environments.<\/p>\n<p>However, in general, it does not take into account<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><b>children<\/b> playing with the appliance,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the use of the appliance by <b>young<\/b> and <b>very young children<\/b>,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the use of the appliance by <b>older children<\/b> without supervision,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><b>user maintenance<\/b> by <b>children<\/b>, including the cleaning of the appliance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is recognized that <b>very vulnerable people<\/b> may have needs beyond the level addressed in this European Standard.<\/p>\n<p>This European Standard does not apply to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>deep fat fryers for commercial use (EN 60335-2-37),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>commercial multi-purpose cooking pans (EN 60335-2-39),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>appliances intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE Z103 Attention is drawn to the fact that<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>for appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>in many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities, the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour and similar authorities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Household and similar electrical appliances.
