Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1<\/span> This classification system covers melt processible molding, extrusion, and coating materials of ethylene-chlorotrifluoroethylene (E-CTFE) fluoroplastics. The resin is a copolymer of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene containing approximately 80 weight\u2009% of chlorotrifluoroethylene.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.2<\/span> The values stated in SI units, as detailed in IEEE\/ASTM\u2009SI-10<\/span>, are to be regarded as standard.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.3<\/span> The following precautionary statement pertains only to the test methods portion, Section 11<\/span> of this classification system.<\/span> This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
