{"id":664715,"date":"2024-11-06T03:07:22","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T03:07:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/nace-sp0815-wab-2015\/"},"modified":"2024-11-06T03:07:22","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T03:07:22","slug":"nace-sp0815-wab-2015","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/nace\/nace-sp0815-wab-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"NACE SP0815 WAB-2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Full Description<\/b><\/p>\n<div>\n<p> A WAB-cleaned surface is one prepared by combining water and abrasive in a blast cleaning operation by one of several<br \/>\nmethods, which include: 1) injection of water into the abrasive stream either internally or externally as the abrasive stream exits<br \/>\nthe blast nozzle; 2) injection of abrasive into pressurized water; or 3) use of an abrasive slurry under pressure to achieve the<br \/>\nspecified WAB degree of cleanliness.<\/p>\n<p>This standard defines the Commercial Wet Abrasive Blast Cleaning (NACE WAB-3\/SSPC-SP 6 [WAB]) degree of visible<br \/>\nsurface cleanliness of uncoated or coated steel surfaces achieved by the use of wet abrasive blast cleaning. The requirements<br \/>\ninclude the end condition of the surface as determined by visual inspection, and materials and procedures used to achieve and<br \/>\nverify the end condition.<\/p>\n<p>This standard is limited to requirements for visible surface contaminants. Additional information on nonvisible<br \/>\ncontamination is provided in Paragraph A2 of Appendix A.
