Sub-bands 0, 1 and 2 cover the lower, middle and upper part<br \/>\nof the UHF band. The sub-bands allow for focused testing of the<br \/>\nparticular band segment of interest for a given device.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Addition of recommended sub-band number for each test.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Specification of the recommended channel number used for<br \/>\nexecuting tests in different sub-bands.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Addition of test procedures and performance requirements for 8<br \/>\nMHz wide channel in sub-bands 0, 1 and 2.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Addition of test procedures and performance requirements for 6<br \/>\nMHz wide channel in sub-band 0 and 2.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Elimination of redundant test points to speed up the tests<br \/>\nwithout compromising the test functionality.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Addition of a new channel profile 8 to characterize device<br \/>\nperformance in a long delay channel.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Addition of a new MAC layer test to characterize demodulation<br \/>\nperformance for transmit mode 2 with (16, 14, 2) outer Reed Solomon<br \/>\n(RS) code.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Revision of all channel profiles to support both 6 and 8 MHz<br \/>\nchannel bandwidths.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Addition of a new co-channel single tone interference test for<br \/>\n6 and 8 MHz channel bandwidths to emulate the effects of a<br \/>\nnarrowband interferer.<\/p>\n<p>Compatibility, as used in the connection with this standard and<br \/>\n[1], is understood to mean that any Forward Link Only device can<br \/>\nreceive multicast service in a Forward Link Only network.<\/p>\n<p>Test methods are recommended in this document; however, methods<br \/>\nother than those recommended may suffice for the same purpose.<\/p>\n<p>All the performance metrics in this standard are meant for<br \/>\nnon-receive diversity Forward Link Only devices i.e. for devices<br \/>\nwith one receive antenna.
