Packet data transmission is supported on cdma2000<br \/>\nTraffic Channels using primary or secondary traffic. For packet<br \/>\ndata transmission on traffic channels using Service Option 33 or<br \/>\nService Option 66, the Radio Link Protocol Type 3 specified in<br \/>\nC.S0017-0-2.10 is used.<\/p>\n<p>This standard specifies a packet data bearer service for<br \/>\ncommunication between terminal equipment and a packet data serving<br \/>\nnode (PDSN) via a base station\/packet control function<br \/>\n(BS\/PCF).<\/p>\n<p>Packet data service options provide a means of establishing and<br \/>\nmaintaining Traffic Channels for packet data service. Service<br \/>\nOption 33 and Service Option 66 are used to request packet data<br \/>\nservice through a PDSN supporting an Internet standard<br \/>\nPoint-to-Point Protocol (PPP) interface to network layer protocols<br \/>\n(see 4.1). Additional packet data service options may be defined in<br \/>\nfuture revisions to select other types of PDSN resources or<br \/>\nservices.<\/p>\n<p><sup>1<\/sup> cdma2000\u00ae is the trademark for the technical<br \/>\nnomenclature for certain specifications and standards of the<br \/>\nOrganizational Partners (OPs) of 3GPP2.
