{"id":694342,"date":"2024-11-06T05:36:10","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T05:36:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/ul-60079-172021\/"},"modified":"2024-11-06T05:36:10","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T05:36:10","slug":"ul-60079-172021","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/ul\/ul-60079-172021\/","title":{"rendered":"UL 60079-17:2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>1 Scope  <\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><b>1DV Modification of Clause 1 to replace with the following:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>This part of the IEC 60079 standard series applies to users and covers factors directly related to the inspection and maintenance of electrical installations within hazardous areas only, where the hazard may be caused by flammable gases, vapours, mists, dusts, fibres or flyings.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>It does not include:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u2022 other fundamental installation and inspection requirements for electrical installations;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u2022 the verification of electrical equipment;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u2022 the repair and reclamation of explosion protected equipment (see IEC 60079-19).<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>This standard supplements the requirements of IEC 60364-6  NFPA 70B.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>In the case of dusts, fibres or flyings the level of housekeeping may influence the inspection and maintenance requirements.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>This standard is intended to be applied where there can be a risk due to the presence of explosive gas or dust mixtures with air or combustible dust layers under normal atmospheric conditions.
