For applications for which postweld heat-treatment is not considered mandatory for retention of acceptable corrosion resistance, refer to Specification A743\/A743M .<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:left\">\n     <span class=\"note\" style=\"font-variant:small-caps\">Note 1<\/span> <span class=\"note\">For general corrosion-resistant alloy castings, reference should be made to Specification A743\/A743M . For general heat-resistant alloy castings, reference should be made to Specification A297\/A297M . For nickel-base alloy castings, refer to Specification A494\/A494M .<\/span>\n    <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"SectionLevel2\">\n<p class=\"subsec1\">1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other.
